This course provides students with a deeper understanding of the vulnerabilities and cybersecurity risks of Industrial Internet of Things, manufacturing systems, Industrial Control Systems, Supervisory and Data Acquisition systems, and Operational Technology. The course will rely heavily on the foundational skills of Threat Hunting and target reconnaissance learned from the previous Penetration Testing course. It involves a series of activities to include vulnerability analysis and attack planning for a simulated attack against a manufacturing system.
This course provides students with a comprehensive hands-on exposure to the processes, tools, and procedures used by penetration testers with a strong emphasis on hands-on activities. The course teaches students concepts and methods involved in targeting, infiltrating, and expanding access within networks. The course will culminate with a capstone activity in which the students will be required to exploit a targeted network, gain access, elevate permissions, pilfer valuable intelligence, pivot deeper into the network, and lay down persistence.
This course provides students with an overview of core information assurance (IA) and cybersecurity concepts. The course consists of lectures and several hands-on labs for a multi-faceted learning experience. It will provide a good initial foundation for participants planning on working in the cybersecurity field.
